Developing a Scottish Bystander Approach May 19th Following the successful visit of Jackson Katz to Scotland, SWA are hosting a consultation event on May 19th to explore options for a partnership appraoch to developing a Scottish Bystander programme.

Criminal Justice and Licensing Bill

End Prostitution Now
The Criminalising Demand amendment will be reintroduced at Stage 3. Further info

Lapdancing
Sandra White MSP has lodged an amendment to the Criminal Justice and Licensing Bill which would allow local authorities to apply a specific licensing regime to adult entertainment venues. Further info

Stalking to be made illegal
Scottish Parliament voted unanimously for proposed anti-stalking amendment to be carried forward.

Rape Convictions in Scotland at 25-Year Low
The number of people convicted of rape in Scotland has dropped to a 25-year low, according to new statistics.

New MSc Gender & Justice
A new programme of courses will be launched at Queen Margaret University in September offering students the chance to study relationships between gender, sexuality and other structural causes of injustice.

Cross Border VAW Multi-Agency Partnership
